 11 Days Work at Secret Recipe


1/10/2021 first day aku keja kat SR lepas sebulan lebih habis belajar. since aku study kos foodservice and management so aku kerja dlm bidang fnb. aku minta kerja kat sini thru call je, ambik no from google then tanya if ada vacancy. first call tak dapat respon. second call baru dpt respon. supervisor (sv) ws aku then hari tu jugak online iv. just a simple iv like nama, umur, pengalaman kerja. aku dapat kerja bhgn kitchen and its not a new thing pon utk aku since time study aku pernah kerja dlm kitchen but bila kita masuk the real industry mestilah berbeza dari zaman belajar kan..

so kerja dlm kitchen of course hg kena masak lah but dont worry girl sbb semua ada sop so hg masak pon just follow the sop. awal2 kerja memang susah sikit lah sbb tak ingat lagi all the recipe so kena work hard sikit hafal recipe. aku salin semua recipe then slow2 study. masak ni jadi mudah bila kita dah try buat sendiri 1 menu. time aku kerja tu masih dlm fasa pkp so takleh dine in lagi so mmg keja relax, tak busy sangat. mostly cust dtg beli kek je. kalau busy sikit pon waktu lunch hour and dinner.

ada 6 orang staf kat SR sini. manager, supervisor, 2 org dkt cake counter & 2 org dlm kitchen. waktu kerja 11 am - 8 pm,, but aku tak sure if skrg lain. waktu rehat sejam and gilir2 dgn staf lain. the most important thing, waktu solat boleh je keluar utk solat. bagitau lah staf memana ckp nak keluar solat jap. SR tempat aku kerja haritu toilet okay, tempat solat pon okay, selesa lah utk solat. andd waktu kerja no phone even takde cust pon. kalau pandai bole laa curi2 but cctv everywhere yee.

so korang nampak kan besar tajuk tu, yesss aku kerja kat SR 11 hari je sebabbb aku tak ngam ngn staf situ. yes aku jenis tak banyak cakap so mmg lambat lah nak mesra ngn org baru kenal. but aku rasa kalini mmg aku takleh go. work environment tak best auto tak best nak kerja. nak pi kerja pon rasa malas and tak semangat. aku malas cerita lelebih. maybe sr branch sini is not for me huhuu~
aku berhenti mengejut like harini kerja then esok aku tak pi kerja astu terus chat sv cakap nak resign lol (p/s: jgn ikot perangai aku eh)

pasal gaji aku tak sure sangat since aku kerja berapa hari je but tak silap aku basic RM1100.

ikotkan mmg takmo resign sebab nak cari duit nyah tapii apakan daya.. aku malas nak hadap manusia2 begitu. lagi satu maybe sebab tu sec time aku kerja so tade pengalaman sangat and aku takleh go.

Assalamualaikum and hii everyone...Its been a week I didn't update anything in this blog.Its due to hectic week that I need to face with all the assignments,homework etc....Well you know,university life was not a joke...So now,let me show you what is management.....

           CHAPTER 1 : MANAGEMENT & MANAGERS
What is management?

The Classic Definition
The art of getting things done through people.

A Broader Definition
The process of administering and coordinating resources effectively, efficiently, and in an effort to achieve the goals of the organization.

Effectiveness versus Efficiency

Effectiveness
Achieved when the organization pursues appropriate goals.
This means “doing the right things.”

Efficiency 
Achieved by using the fewest inputs (e.g., people and money) to generate a given output.
This means “doing things right.”

  • The end result of effective and efficient management is organizational success.                                                  

Management Theory

It is critical for managers to be able to lead people through the fast pace of change. 
  • Leadership is about coping with both complexity and change.
  • As change becomes more dynamic and rapid, managers at all levels must hone their leadership skills.
  • Therefore, leaders are managers and managers are leaders.  
The management process






Planning
Setting goals and defining the actions necessary to achieve those goals.

Organizing
The process of determining the tasks to be done, who will do them, and how those tasks will be managed and coordinated.

Leading

Leadership
The capacity to direct and motivate the members of work groups toward the accomplishment of organizational goals.

Leadership Skills:
Understanding individual/group behavior dynamics
Having the ability to motivate employees
Being an effective communicator
Being able to envision future and share that vision

Controlling

Monitoring the performance of the organization and its progress in implementing strategic and operational plans.
  • Identifying deviations between planned and actual results.
  • Taking corrective action
  • Ensuring that the organization is moving toward the achievement of its goals.
Roles of Managers

Managers are the people who plan, organize, lead, and control the activities of the organization so that its goals can be achieved.

Interpersonal Roles
The manager’s responsibility for managing relationships with organizational members and other constituents:
  • Figurehead
  • Leader
  • Liaison
Informational Roles
The manager’s responsibility for gathering and disseminating information to the stakeholders of the organization:
  • Monitor
  • Disseminator
  • Spokesperson
Decisional Roles
The manager’s responsibility for processing information and reaching conclusions:
  • Entrepreneur
  • Disturbance handler
  • Resource allocator
  • Negotiator
Scope of Responsibility:Functional and General Managers



Managerial levels
Managers at all organizational levels engage in planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, however, the degree to which they are immersed in the basic functions varies. 

Operational employees - Operational employees are the individuals who not in the managerial ranks                             but who actually deliver the product or service of the organization. 

Skills Needed at Different Levels of Management



Management Skills
Technical Skills
The ability to utilize the knowledge of tools, techniques, and procedures that are specific to a particular field.

Human Skills
The ability to work effectively with one’s own work group as well as others within the organization.

Conceptual Skills
The ability to process information about the internal/external environment of the organization and determine its implications.

The New Manager/Leader Profile

Managers who:
  • Are no longer “the boss,” rather they act as sponsors, team leaders, or internal consultants.
  • No longer control from the top of the pyramid; nor try to control the action from the sidelines.
  • Empower individual employees to do what is necessary to achieve goals.
  • Make sure that employees have the resources to get the job done.
